About this release
Os Devaneios bring two contrasting samba-funk recordings to the ninety-second release in Mr Bongo's Brazil 45 series. A Beleza É Você Menina comes from the band's 1979 EMI album Raça Suor E Suingue, combining its samba foundation with soul, Brazilian boogie and AOR influences. The vocal melody gives the track a touch of melancholy alongside its bright rhythmic feel. On the reverse, Embalo Diferente offers a more direct dancefloor groove, taken from the 1978 album O Conjunto Que Faz Você Vibrar. The 7-inch pairs these late-1970s recordings in the series' Brazil 45 house sleeve.
