Pigeon - Yagana EP

Pigeon's debut EP Yagana grew from an impromptu jam session in Margate. The five-piece brings Guinean singer Falle Nioke together with drummer Graham Godfrey, keyboardist Steve Pringle, guitarist Tom Dream and bassist Josh Ludlow.

Across four tracks, the band connects Afro-disco, no wave and jazz through the interplay between Nioke's vocals and the instrumental group. The title track and Nothing Grows occupy the first side, with It's You and War (Jam) on the reverse. Released by Soundway, the EP introduces a band whose collaborative origins remain central to the music.
