About this release
Project Gemini’s “After The Dawn” takes a heavier turn in Jack Sharp’s Large Plants remix. Sharp, also known for Wolf People, draws out distorted guitars and echoed vocals, shifting the track towards a darker progressive rock sound. On the reverse, “Darkness Rising” comes from the Colours & Light recording sessions and combines wah-wah fuzz guitar with synths, percussion and a prominent bassline. The two tracks connect Paul Osborne’s psychedelic songwriting with contrasting studio treatments: a reworked album cut and an original piece left off the LP. This Mr Bongo 7-inch edition pairs both recordings and is limited to 500 copies.
