About this release
Lift Off Part Two continues Ron Trent’s Rush Hour album across five tracks, moving between vocal songs, slower grooves and extended collaborations. “Just Another Love Song” features Trent’s own layered vocals and guitar textures, while “Juice” heads into a more spacious, unhurried setting. “And Fly Away” brings a Balearic feel before Lars Bartkuhn adds guitar to the jazz-funk-inflected “Street Wave”. The set closes with “Her”, featuring Harry Dennis’ spoken-word contribution. Presented across two vinyl records, this second part highlights the range of Trent’s arrangements while retaining the warm chords, detailed percussion and rhythmic flow that connect the album.
