About this release
S.L.D.'s Gettin' Out connects piano-led house with the Italian club sound of the early 1990s. Produced by Luigi Stanga, the track builds around bright chords, synthesizers, vocal samples and a rolling bass line. Volta Recordings' licensed, remastered twelve-inch reissue pairs the Extended Version on the first side with the Club Version on the reverse. The two arrangements give the same recording different forms for a DJ set, keeping its piano and vocal hooks at the centre. VOLTA001 opens the label's reissue series with a compact two-version selection drawn from the Italian house catalogue.
