About this release
Wismut brings Sascha Funke's electronic production together with Niklas Wandt's percussion and voice across four tracks for Multi Culti. Introduced by Dreems, the pair began with recordings in Wandt's rehearsal space before expanding the material at Funke's home studio. Congas, talking drum and prepared cymbals played with a bass bow contribute to the record's tactile rhythm, set within hypnotic, dub-influenced arrangements. Die Säge and Lobotomie occupy the first side, with Umarmung Aus Holz and Für Die Paar Heller on the reverse. The collaboration links Funke's club production with Wandt's background in free jazz and Krautrock.
