About this release
Saucy Lady opens Dippin’ Records with two covers presented across five versions. Carly Simon’s “Why” receives a boogie treatment produced by Saucy Lady and Yuki “U-KEY” Kanesaka, with an instrumental alongside the vocal version on side A. On the reverse, Phil Collins’ “One More Night” becomes a quicker, broken beat arrangement. Daisuke Miyamoto then takes the song into deep house territory, before an a cappella completes the programme. The pairing connects familiar songs with different rhythmic approaches, from the A-side’s dancefloor focus to the varied treatments on the flip. This DR0001 12-inch includes the complete five-track selection.
