Secret Night Gang - Secret Night Gang

Handpicked by Gilles Peterson from Manchester's live music community, Secret Night Gang was founded by singer-songwriter Kemani Anderson, multi-instrumentalist Callum Connell and Stuart Whitehead. The group developed through local jam sessions before expanding to include drummer Myke Wilson and guitarist Jack Duckham.

Their debut draws British street soul into conversation with jazz, gospel and R&B, pairing Anderson's vocals with tightly arranged ensemble playing. This Brownswood vinyl edition selects six tracks from the album, including The Sun, Captured and You Are My Love. It presents a focused introduction to the band's songwriting and the musical connections behind its sound.
