Asakusa Light marked Soichi Terada's return to recording a full album of house music after renewed interest in his Far East Recording catalogue. Developed over eighteen months, the record uses the synthesizers and drum machines behind his earlier work while drawing on fresh compositions and rediscovered MIDI material.

Warm basslines, programmed drums and carefully shaped melodies connect the eleven tracks. Silent Chord, Diving Into Minds and Takusambient show different aspects of Terada's deep house language, from spacious chords to more playful electronic leads. Released by Rush Hour as a double LP, it follows the label's Hunee-curated retrospective Sounds From The Far East.
