About this release
Selected Works revisits Justin Drake and Clive Henry's Soul Purpose project, a deeper house counterpart to their work as Peace Division. Originally released through Low Pressing Limited between 1997 and 1998, the recordings centre on rich chords, rolling bass lines and a soulful approach to club rhythm. WOLF Music's remastered twelve-inch draws on the original DAT tapes, pairing Soul Purpose 1 (A) and Soul Purpose 3 on the first side with Soul Purpose 1 (AA) and Soul Purpose 4 (Stalis Theme) on the reverse. The four-track vinyl selection brings these late-1990s recordings together in a single EP.
