About this release
Spaced Out Krew and Orion Westbrook join forces on Friends, Love, Freak, a six-track meeting of cosmic soul, funk and 1980s synth-pop influences. Released jointly by Bazaar Records and La Maison Venturi, the record brings a playful, offbeat character to its dancefloor grooves.
Ghostape sings on Mano Mano and In My Mind, while Lydie Gaga voices Tu Veux Ou Tu Veux Pas. Marius Cyrilou takes the vocals on Love Jam and Ready For Your Love, with Chérie Bibi closing the record on Kim Jung Boogie. Slap bass, electric piano, analogue synthesizers and lo-fi sampling accompany lyrics in Italian, French and English.
