Splash - Eye for an Eye (Lipelis Remixes)

CWPT revisits the Gallo Record Company catalogue with two Lipelis versions of Splash's 1990 song An Eye for an Eye. The South African group's message of unity remains at the centre of the record, while Lipelis brings its vocals, bright keys and bubbling percussion into a contemporary dancefloor setting.

The 12-inch pairs the full remix with a dub version that gives the rhythm and piano lines more room. Vocal harmonies and melodic details link the two sides, making this a warm, spacious reworking of the original song and a distinctive meeting of South African pop and Balearic dance music.
