State of Flux - Mindweeds

Podadisk revisits 'Mindweeds', the Scottish ambient techno record first released in 1993 on T&B Vinyl, the Pure-affiliated label run by JD Twitch and Brainstorm. State of Flux were Roger Elliott and Dave Clark, whose early experiments brought bright synth lines, broken rhythms and spoken-word fragments together into an unmistakably rave-era sound.

This reissue gathers the two original studio versions, 'Grow More Pot' and 'Fred's Fancy', alongside the 1992 cassette demo and a performance recorded at Birmingham's Oscillate club night in April 1994. The four versions trace the track from its early form to the stage, presented on a twelve-inch with a hemp insert.
