Stella - Detends-Toi

Détends-toi introduces Paris-born, Berlin-based singer and DJ Stella Zekri on Cosmic Romance. Produced and co-written by Ed Longo, the six-track debut draws on zouk, boogie and the French underground sound of the mid-1980s. Four original songs sit alongside 'Pourquoi', credited to Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers, and a dub version of the title track. Stella’s French vocals are joined by guitar, percussion, bass and horns, with Longo handling keyboards and programming. The record also marks Cosmic Romance’s first release, bringing its approach to song-led dance music into focus across two sides of vinyl.
