Tata Vega & Al Johnson - I've Got My Second Wind

Melodies International pairs two versions of ‘I’ve Got My Second Wind’ on one twelve-inch. Al Johnson co-wrote the song with Tom Fauntleroy and first recorded it for Peaceful in 1978; the version here comes from his later CBS album Back For More. Tata Vega’s interpretation, featuring a duet with G.C. Cameron, appeared on her Motown album Givin’ All My Love. Her recording takes the A-side, with Johnson’s on the reverse. Remastered from tape by Matt Colton and pressed at Mother Tongue in Italy, the release gives these soul and disco recordings a shared setting with printed inner and outer sleeves.
