About this release
Two Teddy Pendergrass recordings from 1977 share this Philadelphia International 12-inch: 'You Can’t Hide From Yourself' and 'The More I Get, The More I Want'. The reissue brings the songs together in enhanced, remastered and recut form, pairing two sides of his disco and soul repertoire. With one track on each side, the release keeps the focus on the original performances and their place in the Philadelphia International catalogue. It is a useful pairing for DJs building sets around the label’s dancefloor sound, as well as listeners looking for these two songs on a single record.
