About this release
The Beta Band’s The Three EPs brings together Champion Versions, The Patty Patty Sound and Los Amigos Del Beta Bandidos, the group’s early releases from 1997 and 1998. Across 12 tracks, folk and indie guitar music meet psychedelic textures, electronics and trip-hop rhythms. ‘Dry The Rain’ opens the collection, with ‘Inner Meet Me’, ‘The House Song’ and the extended ‘The Monolith’ showing different sides of the band’s exploratory approach. Rather than a conventional debut album, it captures three connected stages in their early sound. This Because Music reissue presents the complete collection on two heavyweight black vinyl records.
