The Rah Band - Rising Star / Deep Song

Rising Star / Deep Song pulls two rare recordings from the archives of legendary producer Richard Hewson.

Rising Star (Cosmix) began life in 1984 as a Debbie Sharp vocal single before Hewson reworked it into a percussive cosmic-disco interpretation shaped by his Bel Delay effects unit. Deep Song reaches back to the late-70s Richard Hewson Orchestra period, a spiritual, Miles Davis-inspired piece that foreshadows the sound world later developed through The RAH Band.
