About this release
Todos Os Olhos captures Tom Zé's experimental approach to Brazilian song, bringing playful arrangements and pointed urban observations into the language of MPB and Tropicália. Percussion, spare guitar figures and vocal exchanges give the songs an unsettled, exploratory feel, with familiar forms repeatedly interrupted or pulled in unexpected directions. The album moves from A Noite Do Meu Bem and Dodó E Zezé to Brigitte Bardot and Augusta, Angélica E Consolação, framed by two appearances of Complexo De Épico. This Elemental Music edition restores the twelve-track programme on 180g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, presenting the record as a complete album.
