About this release
Umberto Vitiello’s Lébou is a percussion-led album shaped by his years living on Yarakh Beach near Dakar. Named after the Lébou fishing community, it combines memories of Senegal with spacious electronic production and a reflection on the changing coastline.
Mixed by Donato Dozzy, the eight-track record moves through atmospheric rhythms and layered voices, with contributions from Olympia Ndiaye, Anna Caragnano and Mariangela Morais. Released by Multi Culti, it brings together personal history, environmental concern and Vitiello’s experience as a percussionist.
