Dave 'Love' Lee and John Morales revisit classic disco, funk and soul on Mixed To The Maxxx. Working from the original multitrack tapes, the two remixers bring their own approaches to recordings from across the dancefloor canon. Part One collects eight of those reworks on a gatefold double LP for Z Records.

Lee takes on Harold Melvin, Lenny Williams, The Brand New Heavies and Metropolis, while Morales supplies M+M mixes of Loleatta Holloway, Dennis Coffey and The Temptations. Robert Palmer's I Want You - Mercy Mercy Me closes the set, completing a collection that connects vocal soul with disco and funk.
