Various - Lover's Special Request

Lover’s Special Request brings together four UK lovers rock and dub selections from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Marie Pierre’s Our Tune, produced by Dennis Bovell, is paired with Bovell’s Rhodes-led Fe We Dub, featuring trombonist Henry Matic; both originally appeared on Patrick Cann’s P.C. Music imprint in 1982. Elizabeth Archer & The Equators contribute their 1977 version of Feel Like Making Love and its dub counterpart, Feel Like Making Dub. Backatcha’s 12-inch edition draws the Pierre and Bovell recordings from studio tapes and brings the four cuts together at 45rpm.
