About this release
Nothing Leaves The House – The Anthology gathers sixteen instrumentals from Tall Black Guy, Eric Lau, kidkanevil and Mr Thing, giving each producer a side of the double LP. The project began with the idea of sampling Mr Thing’s records while leaving the originals in his flat, then developed through record-shop exchanges and a visit to the John Peel Archive. First Word brings those three releases together with four new beats made for the project’s tenth anniversary. For the final session, a shared folder replaced the original in-person gathering, allowing the four producers to return to the concept from different parts of the world.
