Waltel Branco - Meu Balanco

Originally released in Brazil by CBS in 1975, Meu Balanço brings Waltel Branco’s arranging skills to a programme of orchestral jazz-funk. Brazilian rhythms run through the big-band writing, alongside touches of library music and film-score atmosphere. The sessions feature bassist Luizão Maia, trombonist Edmundo Maciel and drummer Paulinho Braga, musicians whose work helped shape many Brazilian recordings of the period. Mr Bongo first reissued the album in 1995 and returns to it here with all twelve tracks. This vinyl edition comes in a tip-on sleeve, preserving the complete album from Luar Do Sertão to Zoraia.
