Witch - My Desire / You Are My Sunshine

My Desire captures WITCH's shift into disco at the beginning of the eighties. With Christine Jackson on lead vocals, its upfront bassline, falsetto backing voices, synths and horns mark a new direction for the group after their Zamrock recordings.

Sharp Flat pairs a single edit with You Are My Sunshine, written and sung by Stanford Tembo. Both tracks come from the band's 1980 Movin' On period, following their relocation to Zimbabwe and work in Harare's studios. Mastered from the original analogue tapes, this seven-inch brings together two contrasting sides of that chapter in WITCH's history.
