Yaeji - With A Hammer

Yaeji’s debut album draws together the places and sounds that shaped her: New York, London and Seoul, dance music, Korean indie rock and the electronica and pop of the 1990s and early 2000s. Across thirteen tracks, With A Hammer explores the pressure of social expectations and self-imposed limits, moving through sorrow, doubt and anger towards a more hopeful sense of independence. The hammer of the title becomes a tool for breaking those barriers. Released by XL Recordings, the album includes For Granted, Passed Me By and the title track, expanding the producer and vocalist’s dancefloor foundations into a personal full-length statement.
