Yanti Bersaudara - Yanti Bersaudara

Yanti Bersaudara brings together the voices of sisters Yani, Tina and Lin Hardjakusumah from Bandung in West Java. First released in 1971, their self-titled album draws on Sundanese songs and vocal traditions, with close harmonies giving the recordings their distinctive character.

La Munai Records' reissue presents the 12-track programme, from Hariring Kuring and Sabilulungan through to Gumbira and Yanti. Active from the 1960s into the early 1970s, the trio left a compact recorded legacy. This album offers a focused introduction to their singing and the cultural traditions behind it.
