About this release
Aesop Rock’s self-produced Black Hole Superette finds strange possibilities in everyday life, turning small incidents and half-remembered details into intricate rap narratives. Its eighteen tracks pair dense writing with carefully built beats, moving from Secret Knock and Checkers to Movie Night, Send Help and Black Plums. Armand Hammer join 1010WINS, Open Mike Eagle appears on So Be It, and Charlie Horse brings in Homeboy Sandman and Lupe Fiasco. Hanni El Khatib features on the closing Unbelievable Shenanigans. This Rhymesayers edition comes on black ice double vinyl in a rainbow-foil gatefold jacket with printed record sleeves.
