About this release
Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Punchline and Stricklin join forces as EMC on The Show, first released in 2008. Their shared touring history gives the group a natural chemistry, with four distinct voices working across production from Marco Polo, Ayatollah, Nicolay, Koolade and others. Guests include Little Brother on ‘Traffic’, Sean Price on ‘Git Some’ and Ladybug Mecca on the title track. The emphasis is on lyricism and the interaction between the MCs, with contributions from DJ Eclipse adding to the record’s hip-hop roots. This M3 double-LP reissue presents the sixteen-song vinyl sequence across four sides.
