About this release
Cracy Coconuts’ Rubberdub Dance returns on Edition Hawara as a seven-inch reissue. Judy and Nicola Hauenstein wrote the song in 1987 and recorded it with their father, Kurt Hauenstein of Supermax, giving the record a character distinct from his better-known disco productions.
Their vocals sit over a bouncy, tropical digi-dub arrangement. The original ‘Rubberdub Dance’ takes the A-side, backed by the Sing Along-Version on the reverse. Two versions of a playful Austrian reggae recording, restored to vinyl.
