About this release
Jamwax pairs George Allison’s Sad with Every Hoe on this 7" single, drawing one track each from his 1984 albums So Unusual and Exclusive.
Sad is Allison’s interpretation of Who’s Sad by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, reflecting the singer’s early falsetto influences. Every Hoe is his own composition, built around the Jamaican proverb that there is somebody for everyone. The two sides revisit the sessions he recorded for Carl Prince’s Gibbous label after his time with The Mad Lads.
