PS11 - Stratos EP

Matthew Antico's PS11 project lands on Downside Up Recordings with five tracks of hardware-driven techno. Stratos EP moves from tightly wound club rhythms to more spacious, broken patterns, keeping a dark, subterranean mood throughout. The title track holds its tension in place, while “Mile High” adds a heavier pulse and dub chords.

The second side opens things out with “Mid Point”, whose broken beat and broad synth space offer a change of pace. “Mariana Trench” heads back into deeper territory before the close loops and low bass of “Timble Snake” bring the pressure up again. A useful range of moods across one 12-inch, with the pressing limited to just 100 copies.
