About this release
DJP brings two hip-hop reworks to Breakbeat Paradise's Toxic Funk series, pairing Mad Skillz's The Nod Factor with Black Moon's How Many Emcees (Must Get Dissed). The Nod Factor uses crisp breaks and a funk-led rhythm beneath the vocal, while the reverse adds rolling drums, punchy bass and chopped funk phrases. Both remixes retain the rap focus while shifting the backing towards a more breakbeat-driven dance rhythm. The two tracks occupy one side each of the seven-inch.
