First released in 1996, the original builds its atmosphere through a pulsating rhythm, warm bass and sleek synths, with a vocal element adding to the science-fiction character. Smith’s version brings house and techno into a deeper groove, using swirling pads and a measured rhythmic progression to change the scale of the track.
