About this release
HMC’s Digits and Science Funktion return together on Reflector, drawing from the producer’s early-1990s catalogue. Both tracks explore the deeper meeting point between house and techno: Digits works around a darker, looping rhythm, while Science Funktion gives more room to funk-inflected percussion and a distinctive string texture. Machine rhythms and synthesizer lines connect the two, reflecting the sound Carmelo Bianchetti developed alongside his work in Australia’s electronic music scene. This two-track twelve-inch places Digits on the A-side and Science Funktion on the reverse.
