About this release
Classics brings together the early R&S recordings that established Joey Beltram’s forceful approach to techno and rave. First compiled in 1996, the collection draws on Beltram Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, alongside Second Phase’s Mentasm and Mind To Mind with Mundo Muzique. Jazz 303 and Psycho Bass feature co-programming from Per Martinsen, while tracks credited to Mental Mayhem, Open Mind and Disorder show other sides of Beltram’s studio work. Energy Flash opens the thirteen-track sequence, connecting stark drum programming, bass pressure and restless synthesizer ideas. This double-vinyl edition presents the collection in remastered form.
