About this release
Robert Leiner’s Visions of the Past connects expansive ambient passages with the rhythmic pull of early techno. First released in 1994 on Apollo, the album moves between extended pieces such as Aqua Viva and quieter, atmospheric material including Dream or Reality and Northern Dark. Leiner, also known for his work as The Source Experience, balances layered sound design with a patient sense of movement across the record. This double-vinyl reissue presents the ten-track album remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven. Its sequence preserves the contrast between the more physical passages and the drifting, reflective side of Leiner’s production.
