About this release
ISS009 finds Skee Mask working through four contrasting tracks for Ilian Tape’s Ilian Skee Series. “UWLSD” opens with a light, shuffling rhythmic touch, followed by the more direct funk of “Studio 626”. On the reverse, “Reviver” moves into darker breakbeat territory before “Bandprobe Dub” closes the sequence. The record balances detailed drum programming with the spacious electronic textures running through Skee Mask’s work, giving each track a distinct character within the EP. Written and produced by Skee Mask and mastered by Tangible Air, ISS009 is presented on a heavyweight 180g twelve-inch.
