About this release
Back Up Dos: Mexican Tecno Pop 1982–1989 follows Dark Entries' first Back Up compilation with ten further selections from Mexico's electronic underground. Drum machines and synthesisers connect synth-pop and new beat with the harsher textures of EBM and post-industrial music. Casino Shanghai and Los Agentes Secretos appear alongside Interface, Ford Proco, María Bonita and other participants in the country's DIY scene. Seven tracks make their vinyl debut on this collection. The LP comes in a neon sleeve designed by Gwenael Rattke, accompanied by a twelve-page booklet containing photographs, lyrics, band biographies and liner notes.
Format: Vinyl LP; 12-page booklet
