Mala & Magugu - Militant Don

Mala and Magugu join forces on Militant Don, pairing Mala's production with Magugu's pidgin rap delivery for Deep Medi Musik. Before its release, the track circulated as a dub in sets by Mala, Skream, Sir Spyro and Four Tet, travelling from Houghton to Ibiza and HARD Fest. The 10 inch brings the vocal cut together with instrumental and acapella versions, giving DJs three ways into the collaboration. Joker handles the mastering, while the sleeve artwork draws on Nik Nowak's Panzer 2011. A focused release grounded in the soundsystem and dubplate culture at the heart of Mala's music.
