About this release
Noodles of Groove Chronicles teams up with Dubchild on Stack N Tumble, bringing broken beat, soulful house and two-step rhythms together. “Maverick” opens with fluttering horns, bongos and staggered percussion in its Brokenstep Mix. On the reverse, “Sweat N Hustle” concentrates on crisp drums and a deeper bassline, while “Are You Sure” combines vocal fragments with more intricate rhythmic movement. The tracks connect through a shared garage foundation, shifting the balance between swing, melodic warmth and the spaces within the beats. Each mix takes a different route through that sound, from the brokenstep opener to the more direct two-step pulse.
