About this release
Psychederek revisits Thinkin’ ’Bout U with four remixes from Manchester collaborators, extending the sound of his Via Jupiter debut. Synkro’s Jungle Mix takes the music towards drum and bass, while ATM Musick, Balaphonic and Bobby Thorpe explore the wider possibilities of its psychedelic source material. Across the set, the remixes connect broken rhythms with deeper disco and krautrock-influenced arrangements. Balaphonic, another project of Danny Ward, appears under the Balaphonic Bliss Mix credit on the reverse. The release brings those different approaches together, shifting the original’s cosmic character into new rhythmic settings.
