About this release
XL Recordings marks thirty years of The Prodigy’s Firestarter with a twelve-inch bringing the original recording together with remixes by Empirion and Andy C. The Empirion Mix offers an alternative electronic treatment, while Andy C takes the song into drum and bass. An instrumental completes the package, placing the production alongside the familiar vocal version. By gathering these four versions on one record, the x30 edition connects the 1996 single with subsequent club interpretations and gives each approach its own place in the sequence.
