About this release
Brawther's Do It Yourself launched Secretsundaze's 12-inch singles series in 2011, bringing his deep house sound to the label associated with Giles Smith and James Priestley. Spaceman Funk opens in its Deep Club Mix, setting mellow pads against a textured bassline and lively hi-hats. The Alternative Mix of Do It Yourself follows, with George FitzGerald returning to Spaceman Funk on the reverse. His remix connects bass-driven instincts with a more techno-oriented approach, giving the original material a contrasting rhythmic shape. The three-track sequence presents Brawther's productions alongside a distinct reinterpretation rather than a collection of unrelated cuts.
