Ice Cube - It Was A Good Day / You Can Do It

Ice Cube’s It Was A Good Day / You Can Do It pairs two contrasting West Coast recordings on Throwdown seven-inch vinyl. It Was A Good Day leads with a relaxed, sample-driven groove and Cube’s detailed account of an unusually trouble-free day. The B-side shifts the energy with You Can Do It, featuring Mack 10 and Ms. Toi, whose exchanges give the track a more direct club feel. The record moves from an unhurried A-side to a punchier flip, presenting both songs in a compact two-track format rather than the remix programmes found on their original singles.
