About this release
Sound of Silver joins LCD Soundsystem’s dance-floor rhythms to the directness and emotional weight of rock songwriting. Originally released in 2007, the second album opens with Get Innocuous! and Time To Get Away before North American Scum and Someone Great. All My Friends builds around a repeating piano figure, while Us V Them stretches the groove across much of the third side. Watch The Tapes and the title track keep the sequence moving before New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down brings it to a slower close. The album gives its songs room to develop without losing their melodic focus.
