Mark Ambrose / Serious Cut - Remedy EP

Mark Ambrose joins Spanish duo Serious Cut, Raul Zapata and Ivan Martinez, for the Remedy EP on Crayon. The title track places a familiar disco vocal within a spacious, stripped-back groove, while Deep Track brings spoken-word fragments and soft jazz chords over a weighty bassline. Talk Box shifts towards a more electroid character, and Auto Level draws on Chicago house rhythms and vocal interplay. Across the record, the production leaves space around its samples and keyboard parts, allowing the low end to carry the momentum. The four tracks connect Ambrose's established house approach with the duo's own rhythmic sensibility.
