About this release
Bolero Drum Tracks brings six rhythm-focused pieces from Spanish producer Orion Agassi to L.I.E.S. Drawing on the era of Chicago’s WBMX mixshows, Agassi cuts into classic house breaks and acapellas with a Latin feel, reshaping them as direct club tracks. Each piece is named for its tempo, with the programme moving between 121 and 126 bpm across two sides. The LP keeps its attention on the relationship between percussion, vocal fragments and the beat, reflecting the practical, stripped-back character of the drum-track format.
