About this release
Shackleton reworks all six pieces from Saagara's 2024 album 3, expanding a single remix invitation into a complete companion record. The group's meeting of Wacław Zimpel's reeds and electronics with Carnatic percussion and violin becomes the starting point for a darker set of electronic versions. Dub space and tightly organised rhythms reshape the material without losing its connection to the original performances. Northern Wind Brings Redemption and Where Is That Blossom carry that exchange through the second half, balancing layered percussion with an immersive sense of atmosphere. Released by tak:til, the album continues Shackleton and Zimpel's musical dialogue.
