About this release
Defected Classics 2 draws twelve selections from the label’s catalogue across three records. Dennis Ferrer’s Hey Hey opens in its DF’s Attention Vocal Mix, with Hatiras, CamelPhat & Elderbrook and Johnny Corporate completing the first disc. The middle record pairs Soul Central’s Strings Of Life in Danny Krivit’s re-edit with God Made Me Phunky, MK’s Burning and Sandy Rivera’s I Can’t Stop. Soulsearcher, Oliver Dollar & Jimi Jules, DJ Gregory and Hercules & Love Affair complete the collection. Its mix of vocal tracks, disco-influenced grooves and deeper club productions gives a broad view of the catalogue.
